What are now usually called “disco balls” were first widely used in nightclubs in the 1920s. These shiny spheres can alone steal the show from any kind of decor. Available in different sizes, these glitter balls have never been out of trend. You can use these gorgeous globes to add a little bling to the subtle decor. Here are five ways you can use the concept and steal the show!
As a chandelier
If you love shimmer, invest in a disco ball instead of a chandelier. During daytime the sun rays will help in spreading the reflections all over the place making it look ultra glamorous and the shimmer will be on even when the sun sets. What‘s best is that you will not even have to deck up your place every time when you plan a party at home.
As a corner highlighter
Place the glam ball in one of the corners and see the difference it makes! The changing moods of the shining ball along with the changing lights of the day will keep your awkward corner alive all the time. Place your favourite indoor plants along and see the fairytale magic they create together.
As a bathroom decor
You can either place a disco ball as a bathroom chandelier or replicate the concept into a shiny wall. Adding a bit of glamour to the most significant area will surely result into kickstarting your mornings and adding passion to your showers!
As a decor accessory for living room
If you do not want to highlight this glamorous ball, you can place it under a chic console table in your living room. This will add a subtle highlight to the room and will make your guests go ‘wow‘ every time they see the evergreen ‘shiny disco ball‘.
As a stair embellishment
Replicate the concept and design your stairway to glamour. Just like the bathroom wall, you can embellish your stairs with the shiny mirrors generally used for making the disco ball and give that extra edge to your decor. If you have a stairway that evolves from your living room, even better!
