Star Princess cruise ship will get a face-lift earlier than it units off on L.A.-Hawaii itinerary

Sail off in search of your own blue lagoon on a 15-day Hawaiian island cruise this winter and spring aboard , which recently returned to service after a two-week, multimillion-dollar renovation.

The ship, which sails round-trip to Hawaii from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver, Canada, has been outfitted with some of the cruise line‘s latest enhancements, including the new , and revamped restaurant.

The round-trip Los Angeles to Hawaii cruise visits four islands and includes stops at the cities of Hilo and Honolulu and the islands of Kauai and Maui. The ship then sails back across the Pacific for a stop at Ensenada, Mexico, before returning to L.A.

Rates for an inside cabin start at $1,299 per person, based on double occupancy.

Star Princess will begin cruising in Alaska this summer.

Renovations aboard the ship include new decor in Sabatini‘s Italian Trattoria and a new menu developed in collaboration with , executive chef and partner at and in Los Angeles.

The new Princess bed was developed with assistance from , a sleep expert, and , HGTV designer.

Camp Discovery Youth & Teen Center, for cruisers ages 3 to 17 years old, caters to specific age groups, with three center themes.

Other renovations took place within the ship‘s boutiques, spa and fitness center and casino.
