UDAIPUR: Radhey Shyam , the 32-year-old man who had created terror at the collectorate premises a day ago, was on Thursday produced before a court which ordered to keep him in judicial custody for 15 days.
Teli had blown chilli powder, threw petrol and lighted the clothes that had burnt two people in the incident. He had even tried to immolate self however, due to the large gathering, security guards had managed to control him.
The accused is a habitual offender and had exhibited extreme aggression third time, said DySP BhagwatSIngh . Everytime he is arrested and jailed,however, he repeats the same act as soon as he is released on bail.
The officer informed that few months ago a man had lend some money to the accused and when he went to demand the payment, the accused threw acid on him. The man had lodged a complaint and when the cops went to investigate, Teli pour boiling ‘dal‘ on them.
Sources said that Teli ran a small restaurant near in area and his business had suffered due to the frequent quarrels and cases. This had perhaps disturbed him and he wanted to settle a due with the police.
“The accused doesnt seems suffering from any mental disorder as he is answering all the questions correctly. He was prepared for everything as he had come at the collectorate armed with chilli powder, a bottle of petrol, lighter and two knives. We found some newspaper cuttings from his pocket related to his earlier attack on the police team at his restaurant,” Hingad said. During interrogation, the accused reportedly said that he was fed up by the frequent questioning of the police and wanted to put an end to all of it.
Meanwhile, seeing his aggression, police is determined to file a strong chargesheet against him. ” The incident happened at the collectorate and the entire sequence has been captured in the camera. We have ample evidences this time and will make sure that he doesnt escape unpunished” the officer said.
