MANCOW MULLER has dropped his suit against his employer, CUMULUS MEDIA, for hiring one of his former bosses, MARV NYREN, as its new Market Manager for CHICAGO, reports .
MULLER, who hosts mornings at Classic Rock WLUP/CHICAGO, sued in COOK COUNTY Circuit Court, alleging that NYREN, his boss when both worked at then-EMMIS Alternative WKQX, fired him in JULY 2006 in retaliation for MULLER objecting to having to meet with him outside the station and then allegedly airing denigrating on-air bits about him, throwing a staff party to celebrate MANCOW's departure, and having salespeople delivering "raw, spoiled rotten and bloody meat" to clients to depict MANCOW as a "dead cow."
MULLER said on the air WEDNESDAY (1/3) that he and NYREN had agreed to put the issue behind them, saying, "I’m excited about our relationship in 2018. Our relationship a decade ago was awful. But people change, and I really believe he’s a sincere cat who’s looking after my best interests.” An earlier suit over MANCOW's dismissal in 2007 ended with a 2011 settlement.
