The joint drive of PPCB and police was kicked off on Wednesday. Different types of commercial vehicles including buses, trucks and container trucks were checked on Doraha-Ambala road and removed pressure horns from six vehicles, which were also challaned on the spot.

Ravideep Singla, assistant environmental engineer, PPCB, said, “Our drive against noise pollution is going in full swing. On Wednesday, we checked 17 vehicles out of which 6 were found to have installed pressure horns. The drivers of the vehicles were told not to install and use pressure horns in the future.”
